Adamawa Deputy Gov Farauta Gives Out Daughter in Marriage

It was a moment of joy for Deputy Governor of Adamawa State, as she gave out her daughter Racheal George Farauta in marriage to Phanuel Andrew Dzarma.

The Deputy Governor, alongside her husband, attended the wedding solemnization held at the Ekklesiyar Yan’uwa a Nigeria, the Church of the Brethren in Nigeria, located at the Federal Housing Estate.

The marriage was conducted by the Resident Pastor of the church, Rev. Iliya Ezikiel Baido.

The cleric while advising the couple to be tolerant with each other also enjoined them to support each other in their marriage.

He expressed optimism that the new couple would make a good and strong family considering their good backgrounds, while urging the guests to uphold them in prayers.

The Zumuntan mata of the church in their songs of praises, wished the couple long life and a prosperous marriage.

In their separate interviews at the reception ground held at Banquet Hall of the Government House, Yola, Commissioner for Education and Human Capital Development, Dr Umar Garba-Pella, pointed out that marriage is the coming together of two individuals from different backgrounds, hence there is a need to bind it with patience and perseverance.

He said the couple are now one, they should not allow room for intruder to destract the marriage.

In his opinion, Mr Evans Joshiah, who stood for the father of the bride, noted that the ceremony is a day every parent is waiting to see.

He appreciated God for giving out his daughter to a responsible family

He advised the couple to overlook their differences at all times.

Additionally, he noted whatsoever grievances that come their way, they should amicably resolved it.

The Chief Bestman, Joseph Fidels, gave thanks to God for his guidance and protection from the beginning of the process of the marriage up to the end.

Fidels advised the couple to love each other and accord themselves respect at all times.

Speaking on behalf of the family of the bride, Barrister Leonard Zidon, thanked God for making the day a reality, saying they are grateful to the Lord as “we continue celebrating the couple”.

Zidon said the wedding is a great beginning and prayed to God to bless their family.
