ADAMAWA 2027: GALADIMA DECLARE GOVERNORSHIP AMBITION AMID STRONG SUPPORT.

Former Executive Secretary of the Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF), Ahmed Tjjani Galadima, has declared his intention to contest for the office of Governor of Adamawa State in the 2027 general election.
Galadima made the declaration at his campaign office in Yola, the state capital.
Addressing supporters, he said his decision to join the race was in response to calls from the people, who urged him to contest based on his track record.
“My people have called, and I have answered. It is about the future of our state—restoring hope to the people,” Galadima stated.
He added that the movement is driven by unity and a shared aspiration to build a fair, transparent, and more inclusive system of governance.
Speaking at the event, former Chief of Staff to Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, Maxwell Gidado, expressed confidence in Galadima’s candidacy, noting that the Adamawa Southern Zone would fully support him.
Also speaking, the member representing Yola North, Yola South, and Girei Federal Constituency, Abubakar Baba Zango, said since Nigeria’s creation, Adamawa Central has never produced an elected governor. He called on the electorate to support Galadima’s ambition, describing him as “the man of the moment.”
Galadima reiterated his commitment to delivering a stronger and more prosperous Adamawa State.
He also expressed appreciation to the people for their support and confidence, describing the large turnout from across the state as a reflection of a collective desire for good leadership and positive change.
Other Dignitaries at the event are APC Prominent stakeholders including Ambassador Kelvin Peter, Hon. Bema Ovaldi, among others.
