Police Confirm Killing Of Police officer and Four Others During Attack on Adamawa Community.

The Police in Adamawa state has confirmed the killing of an police officer and four persons during an attack on Gaya Dlang community in Kiva Gaya district by unknown Gunmen in Hong local government area of Adamawa state.
This was disclosed by the Police Public Relations officer of the command SP Suleiman Yahya-Nguroje while speaking to Channels Television at the Command headquarters in Yola.
The attack which occurred at about 5:00pm of yesterday recorded the setting ablaze of several homes and the looting of food items by the attackers. During the attack, a police inspector serving in Kuva Gaya
This is the second attack within a month following the last attack on Zah community in Yadul District which claimed four lives including a forest guard according to sources.
The police Spokesman SP Suleiman Nguroje said officers including the military have been deployed to secure the community as well ascertain the exact number of casualties.
Several residents sustained minor injuries while fleeing the attack and have received medical attention at the federal medical centre in Hong and the bodies of the dead deposited at the FMC movie.
The police spokesman however assured that following the deployment of additional security agencies, normalcy has been restored in the community while investigation is ongoing to unravel those behind the attack.
These persistent violent attacks by unknown gunmen has become worrisome has sent fear across the community who are mostly farmers. They have abandoned their fields especially during this peak period of farming activities thereby disrupting and farming activities which will affect food security in the area.
